Good Saturday Morning Everyone!!!! I have some new products, a new store, and some really cute pictures to share. So grab your coffee, your Dr. Pepper or whatever your choice is and hang out here for a few.

I guess I’m going to start with new products because I’m actually uploading them as I type this, so they are in the front of my mind. I created a new kit called “Livin’ The Camo Life” and just finished it up last night. This whole kit started out in my head as a more Military kit and kind of went astray. My fiancè loves camo and we’ve had SEVERAL (and by several I mean easily hundreds) of conversations about what you can and can not wear with camo. A red t-shirt does not scream ‘camo shorts’ to me but apparently it does to him. Camo pants and a camo shirt are fine if 1. They are the same type of camo and 2. You really don’t want to be seen (although I’m pretty sure that people are going to be staring at you while you’re walking through the grocery store). Obviously he and I just have a difference of opinion.

Now my Granddaughter, Lily, just loves her Poppy (my fiancè) and when he walks in the room she’s nothing by smiles and excitement (which drives me nutso because she doesn’t get quite that excited to see me). She looks at him and smiles the biggest smiles so of course when he puts his camo hat on her, it’s photo-worthy!

She’s just cute as a bug! Ok, back to the new Products….

I also created a “Jump Start” in the same colors as my camo kit. Basically a ‘Jump Start’ is a set of styles and a color swatch to give designers a jump on a new kit. Camo colors are pretty much the same across the board, so this would work with Camo, or nature or camping too. Each of my Jump Starts, and there are 3 so far and I’m working on more, contain a swatch of 6 colors or more and 4 different styles for Photoshop. There is a plastic style which has 3 levels of opacity (so it’s actually 3 seperate types of styles) a felt style, a glitter style and one other style which is usually flocking/dirt-ish, chalk or crayon depending on the color scheme. Personally, I think the ‘Jump Starts’ are a great way to get a kit going and get your elements finished without trying to purchase a million different styles at a higher price. (Just my opinion though.) I sell them for $10.35 which is pretty reasonable when you figure that most styles sell for around $3.99 and there are 4 of them so you save about $5.

I’ll also take custom orders for this so if you are a designer and are interested in having a ‘Jump Start’ created for you in your color scheme you can email me. If you want to be able to sell the styles yourself (not in the same jump start form) to match the kit you are producing, let me know and I can do that too. The fees would be $10.35 for a normal ‘Jump Start’ with your swatch or $30.00 for me to make the ‘Jump Start’ styles for you to sell yourself. I also have taken up residence at a new store. DigiScraps Drive-in is a really cute little store with lots of really great designers. I will be hosting a ‘Speed Scrap’ – which they call “The Drag Races,” every Saturday night in July at 9 pm EST (6 pm PST) You can join me in the chat room or you can follow along in the forum. The have a pretty cool little system for their challenges too:

* Designers have placed products in a category in the store called July Speed Scrap Special
* For every Drag Race you complete, you will get 1 point.
* You can also get 1 additional point for each speed scrap if you use 90% or more DSDI product (must be current, in store).
* Two points are worth $1 coupon to the special store category, redeemable in $5 denominations
* Your minimum redemption is $5, your maximum is $31 (wow!)
* Any participant with 1 or more points who doesn’t reach the 10 point minimum will receive a 30% discount to the July Speed Scrap Special store category.

I’m sure it’s going to be a ton of fun……but I’ve never attended one before much less hosted one. So you might not want to miss the first one, I’m sure it’s going to be incredibly amusing.

Well, here it is the 7th and final installment of my kit “The Story of My Life.” I really hope that you have enjoyed the kit and I’d love to see layouts you create with it.

I’m leaving all the downloads up until May 7th. The original plan was that they stay for 24 hours, but I’ve heard there have been some issues with downloads, although I’m not sure where. I want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to get the full kit. SO, if you miss a day, just make sure that you go back and download everything before May 7th because once it’s gone….it’s gone (well, then it’s in the store for sale )

CT Call and A new look…

Hello to all you ScrapHappy people,

Lets get this little piece of business out of the way first….

And now on to the fun (or should be fun) stuff. I’m giving the blog an overhaul and I’ve worked and worked on this and I have to say, other than the fact that the post area is wider (which was driving me nutso before) I’m not loving it. I don’t know if it’s the colors or the…..I have no idea what it is, but something seems wrong. If ANYONE has ANY suggestions on what to do to this blog…I’m open….tell me.
